1. What attracted you to this piece?I really like how the face is the focal point in this work. The dark background draws your eye to the bright face. I also like how the face is looking off the page and giving a direction. I think the white type is a nice element as well.

I scanned this image from a How magazine from the Parkland library.
The fact that the face is the focal point of the image is nice. I also like the fact that the dark background doesn't take anything away from the focal point. However the design doesn't personally do anything for me, but it serves it's purpose.
